Summer Berry Cards | Cinco De Mayo Summer Fun Blog Hop: Welcome to stop of the Cinco De Mayo Summer Fun Blog Hop!!! I hope you are enjoying all of the wonderful creations our creative team has come up with today! I love the beginning of summer and all of the wonderful things we can do, but my favorite thing of summer is the seasonal fruit. I know that is a little random but I am a huge fan of strawberries and any berry to honest. If you follow me on my youtube channel you may know that I have a love for vintage berry baskets (along with my obsession for vintage mason jars). i wanted to create a set of cards that shows just that. My love of berries and berry baskets. Although the card sentiments say “Hello” to when you send it to a friend in all honesty is me saying hello to the Berry Season.
I wanted to use my new Sunny Studios Berry Bliss stamp set and the Berry Basket die from Sizzix. The Berry Basket Sizzix die is meant to create a 3D berry basket but I only used one panel for these cards.
To give the Berry Baskets more dimension I simply cut a strip of the same yardstick as the baskets in the same length and half an inch wide. All of the embellishments have been mounted with 3M foam mounting tape for some extra pop.
I used Kraft cardstock for all of the bases with a white yardstick layer. The case of the cards were stamped with the My Favorite Things gingham background stamp in Lawn Fawn Guava ink.
The the layer strawberries were stamp with Lawn Fawn Guava ink for the first two layers and then Lobster for the top layer for more dimension. This way I did not need three different ink pads.
I used May Arts jute twine to wrap on e of the berry baskets and one of the card bases. This jute twine is the perfect with for these mini berry baskets and does not add a lot of bulk to your cards.
This Hello sentiment From The Lil Inker is my favorite hello word die. All the sentiments were cut out from heavyweight cardstock and it cut perfectly. The strawberry stems were a combination of Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass and Jalapeño inks.
I hope you enjoyed these Berry Cards and the Hop! And for following along I will be offering a GIVEAWAY! Please make sure to subscribe to all of the Blogs in the hop and make sure to leave a comment on each post.

Clean and Simple Christmas Cards: Hello and welcome to an easy card process that can be mass-produced for the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season.
I wanted to create several cards for Christmas that can be easy to make and with minimal supplies. I used heavyweight cream card-stock for the base. These are A2 size cards with only two layers for less stress. The first layer on all of the cards are cut to 2/8″ smaller that the A2 card base of 4.25″X5.5″. This creates a slim border on the base of the cards to give them visual third border. The plaid base card-stock can be any plaid you have in your stash. In this instance, I used a seasonal plaid paper pad from Hobby Lobby.
To make this process as easy as possible I only used the two larger stitched rectangle dies from the Lil’ Inker Stitched Frames” dies. The deer die is from the Maggie Holmes “Open Book” Die collection. I was very excited to use the new “Merry Christmas” die from Pretty Pink Posh with some gold foil card-stock for the sentiment. The Snowflake dies are a trio from Diemond Dies.
The top layer of these cards were adhered with 3M mounting foam to give it more dimension. I then carefully adhered the “Merry Christmas” sentiment with Scotch Tacky glue. I use a Scrapperfect precision tip on my glue bottle to be able to use it on those very small die cuts.
Thank you for stopping in and I hope this project was helpful to get you through the crafty and busy Holiday Season.
